"Publicans, in general, are happy with how the first week’s trading went. The good weather certainly helped and the mood is very positive around the country," said Foley. "Compared to previous weekends, there were more families in Carlingford over the last weekend, more families and couples. There was a great atmosphere here and there was no rain. “I’m very encouraged about the future. It will be slightly different for the immediate future but slowly and surely things will get back to normal. What people miss are the pubs and hospitality," he said.
