An official with Tigray's health bureau said that more than 100 other people were wounded, more than 50 seriously, and at least 33 people were still missing. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of concerns about retaliation. "Attacks directed against civilians and indiscriminate attacks are prohibited," said acting assistant secretary-general for humanitarian affairs, Ramesh Rajasingham. This bombing "adds to the appalling series of violations of international humanitarian law and human rights" in Tigray, he said.
