Labor, business groups at loggerheads over NSW support package

Prime Minister Scott Morrison was flanked by Premier Gladys Berejiklian and NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet as the trio announced a $5.1 billion package targeted at lockdown-affected businesses and households.

A direct payment to struggling businesses from between $1500 to $10,000 every week will also be made available. Labor quickly went on the attack on Tuesday claiming the estimated $500 million a week business support package could not guarantee that workers “hurting from this lockdown will keep their job”.

Jobkeeper should not have been scrapped for small businesses and should not have been available for big ones such as Harvey Norman and other giant department stores it's the small businesses and their employees that are going broke and loseing our jobs Ruling for LNP states.
