found that, at the end of his first majority government, Trudeau had followed through on just around two-thirds of his campaignment commitments. About a quarter were partially followed-through on, and around 7 per cent were outright broken. Middling, but not a total failure.
A number of promises have just disappeared: A planned legislative framework for Indigenous policing has been incessantly talked about, but hasn’t been introduced. His party fundraised endlessly on a vow to axe to the gay blood ban, but the discriminatory and homophoic policy remains on the books. A planned overhaul of how the justice department handles wrongful convictions has not come to fruition either.
IMO your opinion is skewed towards a Conservative government who caters to the wealthy, promotes Americanized healthcare, free range gun-toting yahoos, low education standards to dumb down voters, dirt poor stay at home moms that can't afford daycare + more. Am I right?
Banning 1,500 models of assault-style weapons, and moving forward with the strongest measures to combat gun violence that our country has ever seen. 👍
Such blatant partisan BS! This RW magazine has no integrity...just spout RW talking points. No investigation into the topic as a whole instead of thru RW eyes! Like PostMedia your viewpoints are completely skewed. You haven't figured out that 67% of pop is progressive-you lose $$
Have you thought about climate change? Moving away from carbon based energy? Rebuilding after pandemic/fires etc? Asking for a friend from Lytton BC.
Justin_Ling This column is ridiculous. It's beneath Justin who I usually respect.
What work? Really? We are not in a depression even though the world economy was shut down. I consider that as verging on magic.
Justin_Ling Some good points. Don’t agree that Trudeau’s vaccine procurement strategy deserves high marks. His single biggest legacy will be unsustainable crippling debt.
