This was revealed by the state Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Modibbo Abdulkadir Ahmed, when he formally assumed office as the helmsman in charge of the ministry.
Speaking while being received by staff and management of the ministry, Ahmed said the current realities made it imperative for the state government to evolve new strategies of doing business with a view to generate more revenues to the state coffers to supplement allocations from the Federal Government.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Mohammed for finding him worthy of the appointment, assuring the governor of his loyalty and commitment to the administration’s success. “I seek prayers, support and cooperation from stakeholders to enable me carry out his duty effectively as we are determined to ensure things go well, especially improvement in IGR and other sources of income of our state.”
