SABC News reporter Mercedes Besent captures the flare-up:
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces Amos Masondo has assured South Africans that they will take appropriate action following the fire that engulfed the Parliamentary precinct. He was speaking in Cape Town at a media briefing of the Presiding Officers of Parliament on recent developments relating to the fire.Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has warned those responsible for the fire that all resources will be used to hunt them down.“We also have forensic investigators who are working together with the police who will come out and indicate what the cause of the fire is and even how it was done and where it started.

That is not Sunday fire, tell your bullet train president to go
Ur police arrested a wrong person
I think for now it is better to move parliament back to Pretoria just for 2022 .Just to give Government a chance to investigate the cause of the fire and do proper renovation.
Building behind all the evil inflicted on the country by the ANC

First fire could have been cause by anything BUT this is absolutely utterly incompetence, DO YOU GET THAT GOG'HELEN
Why not just tear down the whole structure & rebuild from scratch? After all, that's our country's parliamentary building & should be the pride of the nation, not some old, raggity remnant from the old days. Some of us have no emotional attachment to it other than bad memories.
