Warrior Met Coal strikers 'keep this company profitable,' a union president tells the U.S. Senate.

The current agreement with the union was negotiated as Warrior Met emerged from the bankruptcy proceedings of the former Walter Energy, which declared bankruptcy in 2016.

Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders , along with committee colleague, Sen. Elizabeth Warren have spent months highlighting the role they say private equity firms have played in creating the conditions that led to the strike. During his committee statement, Tuberville said Warrior Met had presented nine contact offers to the union that had not been presented to members. Roberts said those offers showed little difference between an offer the union previously rejected back in April 2021.

Miner Braxton Wright quoted 'It’s kind of like playing Russian roulette with bills. You throw them out on the table and pick up which one you’re going to pay.” Truth is his children go to a private school! Doesn't sound like his family is hurting!
