ALAMO, California -- A California father squared off against social media giant Facebook in small claims court Monday -- all over a defective virtual reality headset sold by the company's Oculus brand.
"They told us they were out of stock. After three months went by, I said, 'I want my money back.' They said, 'No, we're not gonna do that; we'll give you some extra credits,'" Redman said. Then Redman saw hundreds of similar complaints online; he got upset that the large company was ignoring legions of customers.Months later, Redman filed suit in small claims court.
"My emails to Oculus, Bobby's emails to Oculus, my emails to the attorneys, the attorney's responses..." Redman said as he went through the documents for KGO's cameras.
