The double-gasket design of the Keychron Q2 features gaskets on the plates inside the case. Keychron has added silicone pads between the top and bottom of the case to significantly reduce the resonance created between the metals and this reduces the noise levels and vibrations. This double-gasket structure enables the keyboard to maintain its flexibility by absorbing key presses and improves the overall typing sound.
With full QMK and VIA software support, the keys of the Keychron Q2 can be easily programmed and remapped. The Q2’s open-source firmware offers endless possibilities for changing layouts, creating shortcuts, changing backlight effects and controlling the knob function. To enable the customization, Keychron has used an ultra-low-power Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit processor with 128K of flash memory.
