The election took place at the Party’s secretariat located along Abakaliki/Enugu expressway of the State.
Odii was declared winner by the gubernatorial committee chairman for Ebonyi State, Mr. Rotimi Olaleken. Others, Mr. Sylvester Ogbaga, a fourth term member of the House of Representatives got 1 vote, Chukwuma Nwazunku who is also a member of the House of Representatives got 1 vote. Recall that four gubernatorial aspirants, Sylvester Ogbaga, Chukwuma Nwazunku and two others withdrew from participating in the race.
