Premier Dominic Perrottet today announced a $780.4 million commitment to the program under the upcoming state budget, which will see the government contribute an equity share of up to 40 per cent for the purchase of a property.
"We want to make sure you have that opportunity. We know home ownership is crucial to growing wealth, to growing the opportunity that people right across our state deserve. The scheme will initially be available to 3000 frontline workers such as nurses, police officers and teachers, as well as singles aged over 50 and single parents.Frontline workers, teachers, nurses and singles people over 50, will be able get into the property market under a NSW government scheme.
We can only hope this isn't a repeat of Landcom
What a misleading ad. Good to have affordable housing but these are not what will be available.
Yes, all you other plebs are nowhere near important as them!
Does it include all frontline workers or just the 3 mentioned ?
I'm not eligible for that scheme, but if all of those frontline employees moved out of their present rented homes and bought their own, we'd have a lot of empty houses to rent, which would lower the rent and make it more affordable for individuals like us who can't afford to buy.
You Will Own Nothing and Be Happy. This is the Government’s way of eventually giving you free housing in return for giving up your ownership of it… They must think we’re all idiots to fall for this.
Seems fair….. 🫤
Sounds like socialism to me 🤷🏼♀️
