The province’s teachers’ union is pleased more information is being provided on the ongoing process that will result in theThe school district employs the majority of NLTA members, and President Trent Langdon says he’s pleased to know that the next phase of the transition process won’t disrupt normal operations during the 2022-23 school year.
The provincial government has announced the members of an Integration Board who will be responsible for the process and who will replace the interim Board of Trustees appointed last November. The board, largely made up of deputy ministers representing a variety of departments, is being led by the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Greg O’Leary.
Langdon says the union has been consistent in communicating that it will not accept any decisions that result in the further downloading of responsibilities at the district level onto their members in the field.
I hope they allow parents to see the new curriculum they are trying to implement. Let’s hope they are not trying to force feed or indoctrinate our the children with the terrible curriculum like the WEF is doing in the US
