“We are monitoring the current situation,” a Circle spokesperson responded when CoinDesk asked for a comment regarding the Nomad exploit. The statement was repeated when Circle was asked about Slope Finance.
Circle’s ties to Nomad and Slope didn’t cause any financial damage to the company, according to the spokesperson. The investments, however, showed how the interconnections of a growing industry can cast a shadow. Circle’s USDC, which is pegged to the U.S. dollar, is the second-largest stablecoin, with a $54 billion market capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap data. It trails only Tether’s $66 billion USDT.
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz With that kind of investments, there is no way they can compete with Tether 😆
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz With such partners, they will drive themselves into bankruptcy. I think I will continue to use USDT as the most reliable stablecoin at the moment 👍
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz I think such companies are the main reason for USDC printing cause there is no real value
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz But it's Tether we should be worried about right?
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz Well, I remember them promising to partner with banks, that's how it really is
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz Of course this is gonna add to Circle's headaches, they have multiple lawsuits already 😋
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz Circle has been very consistent on making very stupid decisions. stupid decisions for their stablecoin, and now this? oh when will you learn? wondering why people still trust them
circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz Another issue for Circle? Sooner or later they're gonna go bankrupt with all the lawsuits and issues they have 😂
IamNomad circlepay nomadxyz_ slope_finance BrandyBetz lmao this is the dumbest hit piece i’ve ever seen, half the industry was invested in these two why did you single out circle lmfao
