The government has promised to crack down on UK water companies which dump sewage into the sea – insisting today it would slash storm discharges by 25% over the next three years.
But as people head to the seaside over the bank holiday weekend – protesters have taken to the beaches, with campaigners in St Leonards-on-Sea accusing their local water company of putting profit before people.

RiaChatter Is it not the case that the large numbers of the monitoring equipment setup are not actually functioning properly. Assuming that is the case then how would they know that the 25% is truly achieved or not
