It meant a good portion of the 28-man roster on MLB’s youngest team had to don orange prison jump suits in preparation for the team’s charter flight to Texas to play the Rangers on Friday night.
On Sept. 9 the Guardians started a part of the schedule that included eight games against the Twins and four against the White Sox. The Guards had a 1 1/2 game lead over the Twins and White Sox at that time. As they boardered their charter flight to Texas on Thursday night, not only did they have a seven-game lead over the White Sox, but a 10-game lead over the Twins.
