West Yorkshire mayor Tracy Brabin says she has secured 1,000 new jobs for the region after returning from a 'trade mission' to India with the promise of multimillion-pound investment.
The firm already has a workforce of 500 in Leeds and created its UK centre of excellence for its insurance clients in the city last year. Its new commitment is expected to be completed over the next two years.Ms Brabin said: "I was delighted to lead this trade mission to India over the past week to champion our brilliant region, its people and businesses.
"Mphasis embeds diversity as a core part of its culture and has a strong focus on supporting and developing its people. I look forward to supporting their growth in the region and seeing the positive impact on our communities."
