A man has been flown to hospital with "serious" injuries after an incident in Shrewsbury this morning.An air ambulance was seen circling above the Monkmoor area of the town earlier on today. A man was seriously hurt at a business premises, and the incident has been handed over to the Health and Safety Executive to investigate.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:"We were called at 10.21am to reports of an incident at an address on Racecourse Crescent. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. "Upon arrival we found a man who had sustained serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital via air ambulance.”A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: “We were called to a business on Racecourse Crescent in Shrewsbury at around 10.30am today following reports that a man had been injured.
“The man was taken to hospital by air ambulance for further treatment, and the incident has now been handed over to the Health and Safety Executive to investigate.”
