open the first-ever Mattel Adventure Park
The new indoor park, one of the first theme parks to be developed in Arizona in recent years, sits on about nine acres and will include 161,000 square feet of"highly-themed" air conditioned space, Mattel Adventure Park said.just south of the State Farm Stadium in Glendale's growing sports and entertainment district just west of Phoenix. It will include a Barbie Dream House, mini golf, go-karts, Hot Wheels roller coaster and Thomas & Friends electric train.
Epic, which is led by CEO Glen Bilbo and President Mark Cornell, said it is collaborating with Mattel to develop a"world class primarily indoor theme park destination." Cornell also highlighted working with Mad Systems' audiovisual design and interactive integration capabilities, Daniels Woodland attractions theming and fabrication and Lightswitch's"solutions" for its rollercoasters and go-karting track.
The company said Epic and Mattel came together"and decided this was something that could be created in a full structured environment that could truly meet the needs of families with young kids all the way to singles and adults."
