The Cork footballer explained that she tried to balance working, training, getting her PhD and taking care of herself, but ended up “crashing”.
“I struggled with that as well. I was competing at an elite and high level of football. I was taking on a PhD and my own projects as well. She learned about the Local Enterprise Office ‘ Sport to Start-Up ’ programme which is an initiative that enables full-time Irish sports people explore entrepreneurship.
She continued: “I was inspired to start my business from my PhD studies. I got my PhD from UCD in the sports department. Through my research, I noticed that the high dropout rate for girls and boys too.
