The Bureau of Internal Revenue said online registration of businesses is now available in selected areas in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui, Jr. made the announcement following the launching of the web-based online registration and update system that would make business registration comfortable at the homes and offices of taxpayers. Its main features included the issuance of taxpayer identification number for foreign individuals, electronic certificate of registration and authority to print , or the use of BIR printed invoices and receipts as well as the registration of books of accounts.
To avail of the system, Lumagui said an applicant must enroll, or create an account in the system by providing email address. He said taxpayers shall also update their registration records, such as contact information, using the S1905-Registration Update Sheet. As part of it’s nationwide ORUS rollout, the BIR has been conducting virtual briefing via Zoom and Facebook live.
