, and drug retail sales continued to grow as well amid the high demand for cough and cold products. Drug retail same-store sales increased by 8.7 per cent.
The company said it earned a profit available to common shareholders of $529 million, and earned $1.76 per share. Profits up 10% in a quarter. Prices rose 10% over last year. Tell me again that Loblaws cannot afford to keep their prices steady without hurting their profit margin.
They should put some money toward hiring more customer service reps/improve their customer service with all those profits. Good luck if you need to contact them; weeks between replies to emails (if you even get a reply) or wait on hold for over an hour… 👎

People don't have to shop at Loblaws if they think that they are gouging Canadians at a vulnerable time of post-COVID inflation, right? Lots of other grocers out there. shoplocal shopsmallstores
This is kinda hilarious…👀
Net profit per item sold runs around 3 cents. Chump change unless you are selling billions of items. Drop it by 33% to 2 cents, customer wouldn't see any difference in fact - what's a penny to anyone? Nada.
Greedflation. Shop elsewhere and locally. Loblaws was awful on the price angle long before 2020😬 buylocal supportyourhood saveOntarioFarms leavetheGreenbelt
