It's a framework that includes foundation models, an orchestration layer and a front-end layer that runs on top of AI infrastructure. While the specific components might not mean much to a business leader or a CXO, the benefit is that a consistent set of tools allows Microsoft to deploy new Copilots within its app stack rapidly.
However, there's no denying that Microsoft has a vast amount of data in its repositories. Finding a way to easily aggregate, analyze and unlock the power of the data within Microsoft apps and services provides a real win for a business. It’s unclear how Microsoft Fabric will work with other data lakes.
