MOSCOW - Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday that President Nicolas Maduro had ordered a European office of state oil company PDVSA to move to Moscow. Our Standards:
The Russians and to a lesser extent Chinese have pegged themselves on the side of Maduro. If he falls they'll be in a BAD position with Venezuela diplomatically for years to come. If he wins, Americas preeminence in the region will be further quashed. A huge hit diplomatically
Sarendiputious move .?...
Good, the Americans can keep CITGO, we'll see how long it stays afloat without oil.
Gotta protect his escape fund.
It is now clear that all the 'Venezuelan Affair' is pivoting around Oil. At the expenses of the People. No matter the side. No matter what they say. One more evidence of the environmental, economic and social - and culture -problems with fossilfuels.
Soon to resemble the American embassy evacuation in Saigon.
Maduro might end up living there soon.
That’s why the USA suddenly got real interested in Venezuela. As long as it was a failed socialist country everyone was happy to watch the spectacle. As soon as it could be a Russian asset, everyone started freaking out.
