ENUGU- INDUSTRAL Training Fund, ITF, says it has expanded the skills acquisition and entrepreneur’s training programme to stem spiral unemployment in the country. The Director General and Chief Executive of ITF, Sir, Joseph Ari who made this known to journalists in Enugu, disclosed that the agency has pursued its realisation by training over 20 million Nigerians that are today Manning key sectors of national economy.
“Despite the best effort of governments at all levels, unemployment has continued to rise. Against this backdrop, therefore, we have resolved to step up our skills acquisition efforts in 2019 so that more Nigerians will acquire skills for employability and entrepreneurship. “It’s Worthy of note that, unlike in the past where the ITF depended on state government and other collaborating bodies to empower trainees with start-up kits, all the beneficiaries of the ITF skills programmes were provided with start-up kits by the fund”, He said.
