Steve Knott, the CEO of the Australian Resources and Energy Employers Association, has reached a deal with Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke on amendments to the government's industrial relations bill.
This has angered the Minerals Council and the Business Council, while Burke is pleased to have support from a key employer group. The amendments relating to service contractors have been criticized for not being a workable solution.
