He further expressed dismay that only 3.3 million people participate in the market out of 180 million people, while urging the federal government to privatise the NNPC and the remaining power sector entities by way of public offer and list them on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE for more participation of investors in the market.
According to her :” I think we may need a special fund that will be use to educate the public on financial inclusion as this will further help enhance participation in the financial market. The operators also need to introduce more products that will attract investors of different categories. ” The Summit attracted cream of capital market experts, policy makers, regulators and operators in the Nigerian Financial industry such as former president NSE, Aig- Aigboje Imoukhuede, President of NSE, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, Alhaji Oladejo , former Deputy Director General, NSE, Bukar Kyari, former Chairman Nigerian Economic Summit Group, among others.
