It is more than disturbing when our elected officials turn on their constituents and call them names, such as NIMBY people.

People have saved and sacrificed to invest in a family home to the best of their ability, trusting the neighbourhood to remain for their lifetime. They also assume that the people they elect can be trusted to protect their interest. Politicians and bureaucrats are busy rezoning the cities, not only reducing the quality of family life, but accusing disapproving citizens of being selfish and uncaring, when all they desire is to live decently and peacefully.

Also, in order to get a table, which vendors must now pay $40 for, they would have to get to the market as early as 6 a.m. and stay until well after 3 p.m. when the market ends for the day and they have taken down their table and reloaded their vehicle.
