The survey also predicts that the EFF could be the official opposition in Limpopo and North West provinces. Ipsos director, Mari Harris says it is rather difficult this year because there is so much uncertainty in the country. He adds: “About 11 million South Africans are not registered to vote, so when you do these surveys you have to narrow it down. The DA has set itself out to win three provinces – Western Cape, Northern Cape and Gauteng and in the Western Cape they have a good chance.”
“The ANC will probably have the majority of more than 66% in Mpumalanga, North West and Limpopo. They may also have majorities in KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape.”
