The Essential Ingredient sells speciality ingredients, professional cookware, kitchen equipment, culinary books and more. It has been featured in Gourmet Traveller, Good Food, Broadsheet, The Australian Women’s Weekly, Country Style and on MasterChef.
Ltd, Essential Distribution Australia Pty Ltd and Essential Franchise Pty Ltd were listed on the ASIC notice of company under administration. Robert Scott Ditrich, Rebecca Louise Gill and Craig David Crosbie from PwC Australia have been appointed as administrators. A virtual meeting of creditors will be held on October 9. The Essential Ingredient began in 1986 as a living room mail order business, according to the business’ website.
