Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have made another major announcement just hours after revealing the club had taken on new investors.
The Holywood owners took to social media to announce that they had purchased the historic Wrexham Lager brewery company, furthering their roots to the Welsh city.The company has been producing beer in Wrexham since 1882, leading to the pair making the video announcement of the purchase in morse code, technology which was used at the same time.
The brewery was originally set up in Wrexham by German immigrants who then exported their product worldwide. In a joint statement, the pair commented on the news, saying: “Wrexham has earned the world’s attention and we are focused on bringing on board world-class partners to help with the next phase of our growth."We have been fortunate to get to know the Allyn family and we are blown away by their intelligence, kindness and commitment.
