A thief snatched a tip jar filled with college tuition savings from a family business.

Belinda Agyare has spent the last two years saving up thousands of dollars to pay for her children's college tuition.

She had saved about $4,000 and was planning to take the money to the bank when a thief snatched the cash-stuffed jar earlier this month.Surveillance video captured the moment an unidentified man, last seen wearing a purple shirt and a black baseball cap, comes into B&B African Caribbean Market on May 8 and distracts the clerk while he reaches behind the counter, nabs the tip jar and then flees.

Maybe it’s time to up the penalty on thieves? A slap on the wrist means nothing to them.

MUST CHAIN IT DOWN IN TODAYS WORLD

Hopefully, this thief will be caught in time to get the money back.

Black lives matter !

As a child I leaned the maxim, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

👎👹😓🙏

C’mon ....you are just not woke enough. You should know, the real point is BlackLivesMatter

Diversity makes you stronger unless it makes you poorer

Why would a man need to still a tip jar in the wealthiest nation in the history of mankind?

Wtf would you have a tip jar on the counter within arms reach with $4k .... pure stupidity 🤦‍♀️

I'm calling bullshit that this person would leave thousands of dollars she's been saving for years just sitting on the counter in her Bodega. How much is her GoFundMe up to?

OUCH!!!
