Leading UK businesses have criticized the Chancellor's decision to impose new taxes on companies, with firms such as Screwfix, Greggs, and McVities expressing concerns over increased costs and potential job cuts. The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) chairman, Sir Rupert Soames, has accused the government of overburdening businesses with its latest budgetary measures.
