Man Breaks Into Lakewood Business, Steals Thousands in Collectibles

A man broke into Pacific Northwest Gaming and Collectibles in Lakewood, Washington, stealing thousands of dollars in goods. The owner, Robert Cantrell, believes the suspect is the same person who robbed his business in August and made death threats.

Surveillance footage shows a man breaking into a Lakewood business and getting away with thousands of dollars in goods, according to the owner. Robert Cantrell, the owner of Pacific Northwest Gaming and Collectibles, tells FOX 13 Seattle early on Monday morning a thief smashed into his business. The video shows that the crook came through a broken window.In the surveillance footage, you can see right beside the smashed-out glass is a piece of plywood from a previous break-in.

Cantrell said his business was burglarized in August. 'I looked at the photo, the footage, and noticed it was the same guy who made the death threats and robbed us the last time,' said Cantrell.Cantrell’s business deals in highly valued collectibles. He said it seemed like the crook knew exactly what they were doing. 'Inventory, it was roughly $6,500/$7000. The donations stuff, was worth around $4,500/$5,000,' said Cantrell.Cantrell tells FOX 13 Seattle he gives out free toys to kids as well as organizes holiday events. He says the reason is his business is meant to honor his sister. 'The store is a living tribute to my twin sister who was murdered,' he said.Originally, Cantrell said he planned to open the business with his sister, Kassandra Cantrell. Tragically, she was murdered while she was pregnant back in 2020, by her ex-boyfriend.Cantrell tells FOX 13 Seattle that now he is fighting to keep his business going. 'There is no insurance. I just lose all my money that I have into these items, which is roughly 80% of its value,' he said.Lakewood Police say they are investigating but have made no arrests in the August case or the incident on Monday. Cantrell is hopeful someone can help find the person or people he believes are targeting his tribute to his siste
