With more than 2 million Australian homes now with rooftop solar, industry proponents say the nation is on its way to a renewable future. But what if those same solar panels all end up in landfill?Experts predict the amount of waste from solar panels could reach 1,500 kilotons by 2050The Federal Government is considering law reforms to address how the industry deals with waste
The Federal Government is now looking into whether they should set rules about how the industry deals with its waste. When the panels fail early, manufacturers usually take them back. But Mr Hunt said that was not always the case.
You want to help the climate PLANT TREES REPLACE THE TREES WE HUMANS KEEP CUTTING DOWN. TREES ARE THE EARTHS THERMOSTAT,FIX IT. NOW
Really? This is the level of discourse? Yes, we need to manage pollution. That's exactly why we are transitioning away from fossil fuels.
Oh probably as much as you guys have been foisting on viewers.
The blind following of MSM of so called green energy is as much to blame for the misinformation around solar and wind
Nuclear is the cleanest energy if it's done properly.
Some of the most efficient and cheapest technologies use the most toxic elements. Solar is not a good idea except for those very specific applications that make the most of it and manage it's down sides. Domestic rooftop solar is possibly not one of them.

Wait another 10 years as more fail.
Don't you know there is a worldwide ban? Local e-waste ban from July 1 facts matter not hysteria
And the batteries, full of nasty nasty stuff, dugout from dirty big holes in the ground & nonrenewable too.
Good to see the other side of the story. I'd like to see an accurate study on just how many early PV systems actually paid for themselves. This should include the cost of maintenance and disposal.
This is just clickbait article- many parts in electronics can be recycled if the state and government allows road side rubbish
