In a video clip released last week, South Park took aim at the American cannabis company that coined the oft-repeated phrase “Apple of weed stores” to describe its dispensaries.
The South Park video for fictional brand Tegridy Farms starts in a similar fashion, featuring historical characters like George Washington growing hemp. It then quickly shifts from images of prohibition and police brutality to the inside of a conference room. The segment also shows character Randy Marsh , assisted by characters such as wife Sharon and Towelie, the pot-smoking towel, nobly farming and harvesting fields of cannabis and claiming to donate all proceeds towards fighting prohibition.
