The Free State Health Department is working with Red Cross volunteers to track down almost 500 worshippers of the Divine Restoration Ministries to test for the coronavirus.

Free State Health MEC Montsheng Tsiu says all hotel workers who came in contact with the international travellers from France, Israel and the USA have also been screened.

“So, I think the screen is going well. We also have dispatched another mobile lab to the church. The church leaders; we started with them. We have already screened 62, and 53 of them are cleared of any signs. So, nine do have the signs and we are going to the swabs to the nine at the church at this point an time,” says Tsiu.

According to the latest figures from the Department of Health, there are currently 240 confirmed cases in the country of which 27 are in KwaZulu-Natal. Private hospital groups that have partnered with the provincial Department of Health include Mediclinic, Netcare, Busamed, Daymed and Akeso.“I really appreciate the spirit that those are running private facilities evidenced in our meeting. We are then going to have side engagements in relation to the human resource and the equipment in other areas that will need to be provided because some of the facilities are empty at this point and have not been equipped.

Do these holy people even think of how a child will suffer if they should get this virus. People must stop acting stupid.

People taking part in these huge gatherings should get hefty fines or send to prison.

RealTeboho12 We are doomed, let's wait for nature to take it's course...

Tjo these church worms yeses why Maan Can't they...,.

Omg! So This tweet was true!!! Thought it wasn't

If we have a problem on our hands with the corona virus, it's the religious gatherings. If they continue like normal, we will find it very hard to ''flatten the curve'

Baya phapha naba bantu

They must leave! People are unnecessary maan! Fotshek

Yho😲

these Christians must be honest and turn themselves in. their 'Divine Restoration' can happen afterwards

What happened to 100 only in any gathering? ?why did government not ban these people why are these forieners from America, Israel? And France allowed to bring this virus these are terrorist dogs with false Bibles spreading a false religion to our people and no protection?

I hope they are all negative by the grace of God

500 is a lot if they all test possitive we ar done

CoronavirusRSA Lol. Re mas*peng ka nnete.

500 wonke 😥😥

If there was mandatory quarantining of travellers in place there would've been no need for this.

Thandee_H Lock them all up in a hall and don’t send Dr’s, make them pray the corona away.

Why can't they just turn themselves in for testing without been tracked down?

This thing is all-over South Africa. The media only tell us about those who tested, what about those who didn't get tested? We're fucked

And that's how the cookie crumbled... The end of us.

😭

500 would soon turn into more 🤢

Mmmm😭🙏

phe_still The soon us black people realize that we are not immune to Corona virus the better.

Free State will be Wuhan of South Africa

Those idiots don't wanna come forth

I think its absolutely vile that those 500 don't voluntarily hand themselves in. Now in the wake of a crisis the state must use resources playing hide and seek. Irresponsible and selfish. Covid19

Magashule_Ace
