Market disconnect: Clouds gather over Twiggy, Cannon-Brookes' $30bn Sun Cable project

Despite this, Mr Allen said Singapore was not desperate for the power, noting its electricity system was almost twice as big as it needed to ensure it almost never ran short of supplies.

"It [Sun Cable] could play a role, but it's likely to be a lot more expensive than bringing in renewables from somewhere else. "How much of that return comes from subsidies from one or either government? How much comes from charging more for the electrons?Sun Cable chief executive David Griffin was confident the project could go ahead, saying it was important not to underestimate the amount of electricity that would be needed to meet Singapore's growing demands.

ABC news, memo from Liberal HQ, run as many stories poo pooing renewable energy as you can, we need it out there it's like, not the future, your pal, Scomo.

Because solar is such a reliable source of BS energy? Always show solar panels but not the associated and required storage and inverters

we export to Singapore, when Australia could use it?

Surprised, not. So many garbage RE projects being pumped, no oversight, and more damaging to the environment. Mostly driven by marketing not science or practical application.
