New Green Chamber director Jessica Tittl touts economic benefits of sustainability - Jacksonville Business Journal

Jessica Tittl believes in sustainable business practices, but she's quick to point out that such practices are for the benefit of businesses rather than some kind of sacrifice.

Tittl talked about her position and her goals with the Business Journal. The following interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.Our mission is to promote the region's economy by helping businesses thrive with the focus on people, planet and prosperity. I really want to fulfill that mission by providing a lot of connection and education opportunities for the companies and business professionals throughout North Florida.

For example, when you reduce your energy usage, yeah, you're doing a great thing for the planet, but you're also doing great thing for your bottom line. Less usage means more money. And we want to help all companies. The Green Chamber is for all companies. It's not just for companies that are already sustainable companies. It's for companies that want to work on their sustainability.
