Most times the liens are invalid and can be removed with a simple demand letter to which the company must comply under the Construction Act. Also, stop paying and force the company to bring you to small claims court which is backlogged and could take years.
The government isnt there to solve your problems. Use your god given common sense. Canadians struggle with that

All I gotta say is Canada Contracts Dispute. It's not free and it does take time (at which time i stopped paying the payments), but it's better then paying the HVAC that screwed you.
The Ontario government has been ridiculously lenient on such tradesman and companies in the last several years. These are all regulated trades and even their inspection process for licensing has been suspended.
They sounded desperate on the phone when they called me 20 times. I ignored them.
Do not finance your equipment through the HVAC company. These companies have become finance companies period.

Seems that you have to always work hard to get issues resolved in Ontario even with massive proof of wrongdoing. At all levels and departments of government. Very frustrating for consumers
