Jimmy Bernard, who travels all over Atlantic Canada giving basket-making demonstrations, will have his work available Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Indigenous Artisans Christmas Market.CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Indigenous Artisans Christmas Market is returning to the Confederation Centre of the Arts on Nov. 26.

The free market will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is one of the Charlottetown Christmas Festival’s signature events. It brings together over 55 Indigenous artists from across the Epekwitk territory to share their history, art and culture. Jamie Thomas, Indigenous Tourism Association of P.E.I. board chair, said she is excited about the event because of the talented artists.

“I know anyone who comes to the event is going to have an amazing experience talking to the artists and seeing their work,” said Thomas. The artists' work includes paintings, beadwork earrings, dream catchers, Christmas decorations, macrame art and candles.“It's a great experience and an empowering opportunity for my business, and all the vendors, to showcase and sell our work," said Martin.More information, including how to enter a contest to win $150 in gift vouchers, is available on
