A downtown building that was one of the first Cadillac dealerships in Florida sold for $1.8 million,The 937 N Main St. property consists of three buildings with The building has a historic designation. It was designed by noted architect Henry Klutho on behalf of Claude Nolan Cadillac in 1912. The Nolan dealership moved to Southside in 1985.
According to Petra Jax, the property is in an opportunity zone and part of a Brownfield Site Rehabilitation Agreement. The facade was completely redesigned in 1948, according to Florida State College of Jacksonville’s history guide. The most prominent building has a mural created by Portuguese artist HUARIU in 2019, ornate staircases and a Cadillac mosaic on the showroom floor.
