Turning 60yrs 16 March, his days in office are numbered. He made reckless statement on Eskom, SAB n SABC retrenchment now public service n he has also called for the closure of SAA. ANC is now electioneering employment while Tito kills ANC with his retrenchment campaigns.

This isnt a virgin statement at all. I suppose tito_mboweni & probably his TreasuryRSA ought to know better that retrenchments would lead to a higher cash payout in the short term compared to the envisaged savings. 2ndly service levels at various depts are likely to be worse

Going to elections with this uncertainty, who would then want to vote for the ANC? Is retrenchment the only solution to the wage bill concern?

The politicians must be treated like other public servants as far as retirement age limits and education qualifications are concerned. No minister must be above 60 years of age and all ministers must have post-graduate degrees. MPs must have post-matric qualifications.
