Big business wants the government to use the information that companies gather on hackers to take the fight to cyber criminals and stop threats from disrupting their systems.

“The law prohibits us from hacking back, but we have people in Canberra that we know that if we provide the right kind of information, then they may have powers that we don’t have.

“We’ve got a big problem to solve here and I think kind of rehashing the events of the last year isn’t necessarily helping us do that.”
