Didiza says the declining budget allocation has a negative impact on the work of Parliament.

The joint sitting of the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces will reconvene on Monday at 10:00 for President Cyril Ramaphosa to reply to the debate on his Opening of Parliament Address by Members of Parliament.Parliament will ask the Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana to allocate more funding to the Institution. This was revealed by the Speaker of the National Assembly Thoko Didiza during the official tabling of the Entity’s budget vote.

The Speaker, in her closing remarks during the presentation of Parliament’s budget vote, tells the House that Parliament has approached the Finance Minister to request additional funding for the institution.
