Boots' American parent company, Walgreens, has provided an update on the future of the health and beauty retailer following the halting of its sale for the second time in as many years.
She remarked: "It's in a very good position in the market, so at the moment, the best solution is for Boots to remain part of the group." Anthony Hemmerdinger, the retail director at Boots UK, expressed the company's ambition, saying: "We have an aspiration to have a great Boots store in every town and no stores we are ashamed of."
