He was responding to comments made by EFF leader Julius Malema early last week which alluded to the MK Party’s mission being to destroy the EFF. Shivambu who was the Economic Freedom Fighters Deputy President resigned and joined the MK Party in August.The rally forms part of a build-up leading to the party’s first anniversary event being held at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on December 15.
Shivambu says, “We are not in the business of destroying political parties. Those who joined uMkhonto weSizwe whether they were members of the ANC or EFF or ATM or any organisation, they do so under their own political consciousness. These are adults who fall into superior alternatives. They realise that here is a proper vehicle, let us assemble the best of the best. Let us associate with you.”
