Seven Malaysian men pleaded not guilty to charges of promoting a non-existent investment scheme called Multiply Finance via Facebook and WhatsApp. The men were accused of deceiving victims into investing in the fictitious scheme and face charges under Section 120B(2) of the Penal Code. Bail was set at RM5,000 for each accused.

BALIK PULAU: Seven men pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate's Court today to charges of promoting a non-existent investment scheme via Facebook and WhatsApp earlier this month.

They were charged with engaging in a criminal conspiracy by deceiving victims into investing in the fictitious Multiply Finance investment scheme through Facebook and WhatsApp.
