I can’t claim that I’m a life-long homesteading extraordinaire who prioritises baking and polishing plates over all else but since buying a home earlier this year I have found a certain level of happiness in my kitchen. It’s a large enough space that cooking has become enjoyable compared with my pint-sized one-person-in-one-person-out kitchen in a Bondi rental. I have procured a baby pink KitchenAid Stand Mixer in recent years that has only served to enhance said enjoyment in the kitchen.
It’s a lot lighter because of the materials used to make it but it does come with the same four standard attachments that the KitchenAid does: A flat beater, balloon whisk, splash guard and dough hook. I actually prefer that it’s easier to move around the kitchen, rather than the KitchenAid which feels pretty heavy to set down. It’s made to be seen though, so the majority of KitchenAid owners will have their Stand Mixer set out on the countertop already.
