Locally, gains seen on the benchmark FBM KLCI during the Christmas week may contribute to a positive sentiment and spillover to the broader market if sustained. In 2024, the FBM KLCI recorded gains of 12.9%, the second-best performer in the ASEAN region after Singapore's Straits Times Index.
