A 50-year-old pilot from a local airline has lost RM1.36 million to a non-existent investment scheme on Instagram since October last year. The victim made 34 transactions totaling RM1.36 million into various bank accounts, guided by the suspect through a UVKXE application. He only received a single return of RM4,300.

PETALING JAYA: Seorang juruterbang syarikat penerbangan tempatan rugi RM1.36 juta selepas diperdaya pelaburan tidak wujud di laman sosial Instagram sejak Oktober tahun lalu.

Katanya, mangsa tidak dijanjikan pulangan segera dan hanya diberitahu untuk melabur sebanyak yang boleh bagi mendapatkan pelbagai faedah. “Kemudian, mangsa telah membuat sebanyak 34 transaksi kemasukan wang berjumlah RM1.36 juta bermula Oktober sehingga Disember lalu ke dalam akaun bank berlainan,” katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.
